E., Century Club, Columbia; member Legislature 1899; Colonel on staff of Governor McMILLIN 1899-1900; appointed World’s Fair commissioner by Governor FRAZIER for the Seventh Congressional District; organized Lynnville Bank & Trust Company 1890; President of same until converted into the First National Bank, of which he is now President; President of Farmers & Merchants’ Bank, Columbia, from 1895 until combined with Maury National Bank 1909; Vice-President Maury National Bank; organizer and President Tennessee Valley Fertilizer company, Florence, Ala., which joined the International Agricultural Corporation of New York, he is Secretary; Officer and Director in several phosphate companies; member Christian Church.
