O. W.; charter member of K. of P.; early business career, farming; organizer of Hoop and Heading Co. in 1898; operated until 1903; one of organizers of Humboldt Bank in 1899; organized Co. to build Mo. Ga. Tenn. R. R.; was merchant for ten years in Humboldt; appointed Postmaster of Humboldt under Cleveland administration and served one month over four years; stockholder in Bank of Humboldt and one of the auditors Tri-Co. Fair; president and owner of Commercial Hotel of Humboldt; Democrat.
