CAMERON, Robert T., attorney; born Birchwood, Tenn., June 1, 1877; oldest son of James and Mary Elizabeth (Defries) CAMERON; Scotch-French descent; educated Carson and Newman College, and graduated from the law department of Cumberland University at Lebanon, 1902; moved to Chattanooga and began the practice of law 1903; candidate for Presidential Elector on the Republican ticket from the Third Congressional District 1908; after campaigning the District in joint debate with Byron E. TATUM, the Democratic Candidate, formed a partnership with him with offices at Chattanooga and Jasper; admitted to practice in all the Courts of Tennessee and the District and Circuit Courts of the United States; a Scottish Rite Mason 32nd degree and member of Alhambra Shrine at Chattanooga.
