BURGER, Thomas Overton, physician; born Short Mountain, Tenn., March 26, 1877; German descent; son of Arch H. and Ella (Batton) BURGER; father’s occupation farmer; educated at Vanderbilt University; graduated from medical department Vanderbilt University, with M.D. degree, April 4, 1900; in early life he was a teacher; married Hallie L. BELLAMY, Dec. 17, 1902; member Masonic Lodge; U.S. pension examiner since 1904; member of Methodist Episcopal Church, South; president of Middle Tennessee Medical Society in 1905.
