D., March, 1870; law department Cumberland, L.L. B., 1905; in early life clerk in store, 1866-1869; later practiced medicine 1870-1885; married Mildred Thomas VAUGHN, Dec. 18, 1884; formerly W. M. Canaan (Miss.) Lodge, A. F. & A. M., W. M. Berlin Lodge, Saulsbury, Tenn., A. F. & A. M., High Priest McDonald Chapter, R. A. M., Ashland, Miss.; at present demitted; member of Knights and Ladies of Honor; Democrat; former alderman of town of Saulsbury, Tenn., 1896; member and elder of Lebanon Presbyterian church, U. S. A., and clerk of session; engaged in farming and owns farm lands in Miss.
