Knoxville and past chancellor of Keystone Lodge of Chattanooga; in 1881 moved from Nelson Co., Ky., to Chattanooga; engaged in clothing and furnishing goods business until 1891, when he removed to Knoxville; was general agent for the Equitable and Prudential Life Insurance Cos. at Knoxville, Tenn.; resigned 1903 to assist in the organization of the Volunteer State Life Insurance Co.; member First Christian Church of Chattanooga.
