ROCKWELL, Warren Ayres, manufacturer; born Gundelsheim, Germany, Feb. 18, 1871; English descent; son of Dr. John A. and Martha Denny (Ayres) ROCKWELL; paternal grandparents Judge John A. and Mary Watkinson (Perkins) ROCKWELL; maternal grandparents Warren and Rachel (Denny) Ayres; educated at Norwich, Conn.; graduated from Norwich Academy, Norwich, Conn., 1891; married Adda Beatrice CALDWELL of New York City, June 1, 1898; member Rho Alpha Mu fraternity and Sons of the American Revolution; Republican; Chairman of the Board of Water and Light Commissioners, 1907-1908 Harriman, Tenn.; Chairman Book Committee Harriman Public Library; served in Coal Creek campaign as Captain of Tenn., National Guard 1893; Vice President of Tenn., State Board of Trade when it was organized; now Treasurer of the Harriman (Tenn.) Business Men’s association, and Treasurer of the Harriman, Knoxville & Eastern Railway Co.; has been Secretary and Treasurer of the Harriman Manufacturing Co., since its organization; Vice President of the Southern Bank and Trust Co., Harriman, Tenn.; member of the Episcopal church.
