I have a copy of a death certificate that list my great grand father Stephen Calloway Adkins listing his father as Calloway Adkins of Campbell co and mother listed as Ellen Adkins. Looking for information.
Hi Douglas, according to the family tree online at FamilySeearch Family Tree, it appears to be the case that Almon and your great-grandfather were half 1st cousins. Almon’s father was the son of Richard Adkins and Mary Monroe as stated here. Said Richard had another wife, Nancy, who was the mother of your Calloway Adkins. Of course, this would all need to be verified, but it’s a start! You can see Richard Adkins’s record at https://familysearch.org/tree/#view=ancestor&person=KGC3-HN9 (free registration required).
