YOUR CAST IRON SKILLET
Heat your oven to 350 degrees - scrub the pan with mild soap,
steel wool and hot water, then rinse and dry (never use soap on cast
iron at any other time - it can damage the finish)
Dampen a paper towel with a small amount of vegetable oil and use it to
appply a thin, even coat of oil to the pan, inside and out.
Place a foil-lined baking sheet on the bottom rack to catch the drips.
place the pan on the top rack upside down and bake for one hour. Turn
off the heat and let the pan cool in the oven.
