"In Memoriam"

In memory of Sister Frances Caroline SIMMONS (nee JANES) who was born Feb. 11, 1836; died May 8, 1913; married to B. L. SIMMONS in the year 1856; united with the Missionary Babtist Church at Thompson Creek in early life.  She was the mother of six children, four of whom survive her.  Sister Caroline lived a life worthy of emulation, always patient and attended her duty in family and church as long as she was able. 
We will miss her, but God has said, "Come up higher". 
Not for the dead in Christ we weep,
Their sorrows now are over;
The sea is calm, The tempest passed.
On that eternal shore.

Their peace is sealed, there rest is sure
Within that better home;
Awhile we weep and linger here.
Then follow to the tomb.
