Sister Minnie Campbell
On Thursday at noon the grim monster of death made its inroad in the
happy home of Mr. T. C. CAMPBELL and claimed as a victim Mrs. Minnie
ALLMAN CAMPBELL daughter of Dr. J. F. ALLMAN and Annie E. ALLMAN who
was born Jan 25 - 1867 died May 22 - 1930 age 63 years four months and
27 dayes she were married to Thomas C. CAMPBELL March the 6- 1890 to
this union was born two children Annie Lynn and Thomas Porter she
professed faith in Christ Aug 18- 1885 and united with the Missionary
Baptist Church at thompson creek where she remained a true constrated
member untill death she were ever ready to lend a helping hand to those
in need a deep shadow of gloom is cast upon the intire community such a
pity a noble and useful life full of love and cheer should be ended
Blessed are those that die in the lord henceforth they rest from theire
labors and theire work followes them she leaves to morn her death a
devoted heart broken husband one daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph CONNELL (?! ) of Birmingham also one son and wife Mr. and Mrs.
Porter CAMPBELL one sister Mrs. J. M. FOSTER one brother Mr. Ed ALLMAN
of Nashville one aunt Mrs. Noah GARRETT of Dresden and a host of near
relatives and friends Burial services conducted by Rev H. A. WEST at
New Hope burial at the CAMPBELL grave yard the large crowd attending
the funeral attest the high esteem in which she was held numbers of
telegrams of sympthy and condolence has bin recived one from Judge
Finis J. GARRETT of Washington D. C. who is a near relative the grave
were covered with beautiful floral offerings by those who loved her and
though they wither the memory of her noble useful life will ever linger
with those by (whom?) she was known.
