Reselutions of Respect of Mrs. Martha J. Butler
Death has again entered our community and claimed for its victim one of
our loved ones Mrs Martha J. Butler. Born April the 2 - 1834 Died
May the 9. 1921. age 87. 1 month and 7 dayes. She was married to
Eld. C. S. Butler December 1886 who precided her to the grave some 50*
years ago.
She Prefessed faith in Christ in early life united with the Thompson
Creek Church in 1869 and lived a devoted Christian life alwayes present
at church and sunday School as long as health would permit. She
leaves two daughters one septdaughter one brother and many relatives
and friends to mourn her death whereas it has pleased Our heavenly
father to take from us our Beloved sister therefore be it resolved that
we Humbly Bow to the dispensation of an all wise Providence recognizing
in it a mesage From a loving father to a faithful child and servant to
a higher nobler home and a more glorious existerence. Resolved
that in the death of sister Butler the church Has lost a worthy member
and the community a worthy Christian whose life was worthy of emulation
that a copy of these reselutions be spread upon our church record and
one furnished the famialy one sent the dresden enterprise and one sent
to the Babtist flag for Publication
