Obituary of Mrs. Kate SIMMONS
Mrs. Kate SIMMONS wife of W. E. SIMMONS was borned Feb. 3. 1878 and
died April. 27. 1916.
She leaves her devoted husband four sisters and two brothers together
with many friends to mourn her loss. She was a loving wife, a
devoted sister a good neighbor and a faithful member of the Babtist
Church. Words fail to express our deep emotions when death enters
our homes and removes forever from our fond embrace our loved onesand
if it were not for the blessed hope of meeting them again beyond this
vale of tears, we feel that we could not hardly bear such trials. But
with a precious hope of life immortal and eternal in realms of
everlasting joy and bliss which our heavenly Father has prepared for
those who die in the Lord. We can bow submissively to his will.
Mrs Kate has left unmistakeable evidence that she was ready to go and
be with her lord forever more. So let us bow in submission to
Gods will. Resolved 1 - That in the death of this beloved sister
the church of Thompson Creek has lost a true and faithful member 2 -
That a copy of these resolutions be spread in the minutes of Thompson
Creek Church. One sent to the The Dresden Enterprise for
publication. And one to the husband of the deceased.
