John Thornton LOVELACE was borned in Halifax County Virgina Nov. 23. 1829  Died March 3. 1908  Age 68 years 3 months and 9 days moved to tennessee in 1867  married to Laura M. ALLEN July 23. 1873. professed faith in Christ about the age of 16 years and joined the Baptist Church at Straight Stone Halifax County Virgina  His Membership was moved to Thompson Cr some years later, He has made his records  He has ansurred his last roll call  He is now no doubt virging around the Saviors throne singing his praises for ages to come  He was deacon for a number of years.
