Reselutions of Isah SIMMONS July 29 1930
Isah SIMMONS was born in henry co tenn June the 6 - 1860 departed this
life July 29 - 1930 age 70 years one month 23 dayes was married to Miss
Amanda E - TOMLINSON december 1882 to this union was born six children
three boyes James C, Clarence and Robert Roy three girls Lucille, Anna
and Irene the latter two preceded him to the grave by several
years he professed faith in Christ and united with the missionary
Baptist Church at thompson creek in early life and lived an exelplified
Christian life was ordained a deacon in his church at thompson creek in
early life and lived an lived up to his duties March 1896 and had bin
church treasure for a number of years Prior to his death his life was
an open Book and he was highly esteemed by all his acquaintances and
especially the remaining few of his boy hood and young man hood friends
which was attested by so large a crowd attending his burial
besides his four children he leaves an aged heart broken companion one
brother W. E. SIMMONS of Como one sister Mrs. J. E. HODGES of gleason
several grand children and great grand children and a host of relatives
friends and neighbors to morn his death.
Burial at Olive Branch thursday with services conducted by Elder J. F.
POWERS and Rev T. A. PERRY Blessed be his memory
