Resolutions of Respect
Resolved, first, that we as brothers and sisters of Thompson Creek
Church do realize that we have sustained a very great loss in the death
of sister Charlotte Maddox.
She was borned Nov, 17, 1756*[1856], was married to Samuel Maddox, Nov,
30, 1881.
To this union were born seven children, four boys and three girls.
One preceded her to the grave. She died Nov. 13. 1914, age 57
years, eleven months and twenty six days. She professed faith in
christ the same year she was married and joined the Missionary Babtist
Church at Thompson Creek, of which she lived a devoted member till
death.
Resolved. second, that in the death of Sister Maddox the husband has
lost a true companion, The children an affectionate mother and the
church a faithful member. Our loss is heaven's gain.
Third, that a copy be furnished the family, also spred upon the church
minutes and sent to the Babtist Builder and Dresden Enterprise for
publication.
