Obituary of Sister Bertie BRASSFIELD
She was born Jan. 13th 1873 and departed this life
Oct. 23rd 1908 age 35 ys 9. M 7. days
Truly Death is no respector of persons it comes to one & all alike
and mankind is ready to offer a tear of sympathy for there fellow man
who like themselves have been visited by this grim monster. The
subject of this notice was another victim of the dreaded "White Plague"
So her sufferings were severe and prolonged yet she bore her sickness
with that fortitude and resignation that belongs to God's children;
therefore Death came as a sweet messenger instead of a monster to
relieve her pure spirit from the diseased emaciated pain riddled body
and transplant it into the beautiful and blessed aboad which eye hath
not seen no ear heard neither hath entered into the heart of man the
thing which God has prepared for those who love him. So all is well and
we would say to the husband, little boy, aged father, sisters, brother,
friends & church Thompson Creek where her membership had been since
she was quite young Weep not but rejoice that her sufferings are over
and that she is enjoying infinite felicity in the glorious home of the
blest.
