Obituary
 
A. M. Bratton was born Jan 27, 1844.  died Dec. 7th 1916.  age 72 yrs, 10 months and 10 days.
He proffessed faith in in Christ in 1868 and united with Mount Zion Babtist Church, Carroll Co. Tenn
In 1899 he united by letter from said Mount Zion church with Thompson's Creek Babtist church, with which church he lived a devoted and consecrated member until severed there from by death.
Of relatives left to mourn his departure, are three sons and two daughters, two sisters, twenty nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, besides a large number of acquaintances and friends who admired him for his noble Christian character's sake.
Brother Bratton loved his church, his pastors and brethren as his punctual attendance at every service so forcably demonstrated.
Always contributing to the support of his pastor and other of the Lord's causes as his circumstance would admit.
We feel greatly the loss of this brother and co laborer in the Lord's work but bow submissively to the will of Him who doeth all things well.
