Newt Howard Floyd Birth: Sep. 1, 1932 Greenfield Weakley County Tennessee, USA Death: Sep. 3, 1950, South Korea Newt Howard Floyd was a veteran, US ARMY CO K 7TH CAV REG 1ST CAV DIV KOREA. His name is listed as a Honor Roll Soldier on the Weakley County War Memorial at Dresden, Tn. He is the son of Onie & Newt Floyd. Newt H. Floyd Weakley, Tennessee Born 1932 Private, U.S. Army Service Number 14324645 Killed in Action Died September 3, 1950 in Korea Private Floyd was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 3, 1950. Private Floyd was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
