Tennessee began keeping death records state-wide in 1908.  The Tennessee State Library and Archives<\/strong> has state-wide death records for the years 1908-1912 and 1914-1969. Google Death Certificates TN State Archives – (they keep changing URL) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For death records from 1970 – present, contact the Tennessee Dept of Health, Office of Vital Records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ancestry. Com, in partnership with the Tennessee State Library & Archices, has added an INDEX to the scanned images of Tennessee death records for the years 1908-1969.
