<strong>LAFFERTY<\/strong> his associates<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm <strong>JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and John A. <strong>GRIMES<\/strong> Administrator of the estate of E S <strong>GRIMES<\/strong> dec\u2019d was this day presented to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm <strong>JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and John S <strong>BURNS<\/strong> Guardian of the miner heirs of R A <strong>MACK<\/strong> dec\u2019d was this day submitted to the Court which was confirmed by the Court and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm <strong>JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and J.S.<strong>BURNS<\/strong> Guardian of Charles C D <strong>MACK<\/strong> was this day Submitted to the Court which was confirmed by the Court and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm<strong> JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and John S<strong> BURNS<\/strong> Guar. of James V <strong>MACK<\/strong> was this day Submitted to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered by the Court that James <strong>HAGGARD<\/strong> be appointed overseer of the road of 3rd Class and that he work from the Turnpike road from near his house to the Waynesboro &amp; Savannah Road at Wm J <strong>GRIMES<\/strong> and that he have all the hands that live on Eagle Creek from his house to the head of said and the hands on Mrs.[?] <strong>MITCHELL<\/strong>s plantation to work under his direction Isued <strong>May 27th 1850<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">The Last will and testament of Hiram <strong>ROBERTS<\/strong> was this day exibited[sic] in open Court and the execution of the same being duly proven by the subscribing witnesses there to and upon application of A B <strong>GANT<\/strong> &amp; David <strong>COOK<\/strong> Executors named in said will for letters and the said A B<strong> GANT<\/strong> and David <strong>COOK<\/strong> having intered into bond in the sum of four thousand dollars with John L <strong>CYPERT<\/strong> and Rial <strong>BREWER<\/strong> conditioned for the faithful performance of said Execorship[sic] which was approved of by the Court whereupon the court ordered letters to isue to them accordingly whereupon the said A B <strong>GANT<\/strong> and David <strong>COOK<\/strong> took the necessary oath for their qualification<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Monday May 6th 1850<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Came into Court Robert H <strong>COPERT<\/strong> [<strong>COPERT<\/strong> written here, but signed as <strong>COOPER<\/strong>] who was on the <strong>20th of April 1850<\/strong> duly and lawfully Elected Constable for said county by the qualified voters of the fourteeth[sic] civil district thereof and entered into the following bond (to wit) [here follows the standard bond) \/ \/ s \/ \/ R H<strong> COOPER<\/strong> (seal) David<strong> ROGERS<\/strong> (seal) John F <strong>PITTS<\/strong> (seal) A P <strong>COOK<\/strong> (seal) And the execution of the said bond being duly acknowledged in open Court by the said R H <strong>COOPER<\/strong> &amp; each of his said Securities which was approved of by the Court and ordered to be recorded Whereupon the said R H <strong>COOPER<\/strong> took the necessary Oaths for his qualification<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Monday May 6th 1850<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered by the Court that John F<strong> PITTS<\/strong> be appointed overseer of the road of 2d Class in the place of C C <strong>ROSS<\/strong> and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction <strong>Isued May 27th 1850<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Came into Court Robert L<strong> CYPERT<\/strong> who was on the <strong>2d day of March 1850<\/strong> duly and lawfully elected Constable for Wayne County by the qualified voters of the 8th civil district thereof and entered into the following bond (to wit) [here follows the standard bond] \/ \/ s \/ \/ Robert L <strong>CYPERT<\/strong> (seal) William D <strong>COPELAND<\/strong> (seal) John W CYPERT (seal) F W<strong> LOYD<\/strong> (seal) T [Tidings in text] <strong>THOMPSON<\/strong> (seal) And the said R.L.[or S]<strong> CYPERT<\/strong> and each of his said securities came into court and [execut-crossed out] acknowledged the execution of said bound[sic] in open Court which was approved of and received by the Court and ordered to be recorded Whereupon the said R L<strong> CYPERT<\/strong> took the necessary oaths for his qualification<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">[Ordered that Court adjourn till Court in Course \/ \/ D J<strong> JONES<\/strong> Chair Wm. M <strong>LAFFERTY<\/strong> James T <strong>YOUNG<\/strong> \u2013 all crossed out]<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Monday May 6th 1850<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Came David <strong>ROGERS<\/strong> who was on the <strong>20th day of April 1850<\/strong> duly and lawfully elected Justice of the peace for Wayne County by the qualified voters of the 14th civil district thereof and presented to the Court his commission whereupon the said David<strong> ROGERS<\/strong> took the necessary oaths for his qualification<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered that Court adjourn tell Court in cours \/ \/ D J<strong> JONES<\/strong> Chair Wm.
