{"id":2199,"date":"2014-08-31T13:12:41","date_gmt":"2014-08-31T18:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/wayne2\/?p=2199"},"modified":"2014-08-31T13:12:41","modified_gmt":"2014-08-31T18:12:41","slug":"court-september-1849","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/wayne\/court-september-1849\/","title":{"rendered":"Court September 1849"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Monday, September 3rd, 1849<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">State of Tennessee)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Wayne County) Be it remembered that a corum County Court was began and held for the County of Wayne at the Court house in the Town of Waynesboro on the <strong>3rd day it being the first Monday in September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine.<\/strong> The following Justice of the peace present and presiding W <strong>CARTER<\/strong> Chr. <strong>MONTAGUE<\/strong> &amp; JONES his associates<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm. <strong>JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and David <strong>TACKETT<\/strong> Administrator of the Estate of W B<strong> TACKETT<\/strong> Deceased was this day presented to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Wm. <strong>JONES<\/strong> Clerk of this Court and A. <strong>MONTAGUE<\/strong> Administrator of the Estate of Charlotte<strong> GRIMES<\/strong> deceased was this day presented to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">A settlement between Z W <strong>JOHNS<\/strong> one of the administrators of the Estate of Wm R <strong>DANIEL<\/strong> deceased was this day presented to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered by the court that John G <strong>HUGHLING<\/strong> be appointed overseer of the Road of 2nd Class in the place of Wm<strong> PARSLEY<\/strong> and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction <strong>Isued Sept 4, 1849<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered by the Court that J N. <strong>BLACKSHEAR<\/strong> be appointed Overseer of the road of 1st Class in the place of John<strong> COOK<\/strong> and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction<strong> Isued Sept. 4th 1849<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Ordered by the Court that Isaac<strong> MORRIS<\/strong> be appointed overseer of the road of 1st Class in the place of James <strong>WILSON<\/strong> and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction <strong>Isued Sept. 4th 1849<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times\">Came David<strong> TACKETT<\/strong> in to Court and was this day chosen and appointed Guardian to the minor heirs of Wiley B <strong>TACKETT<\/strong> deceased and entered in to bond in the sum of one hundred &amp;
