He was born 31 Dec 1895 in Clifton, Tennessee the son of William Claburn and Sarah Manda BUNCH TURNBO. He enlisted on 28 May 1918 at Waynesboro, TN and was honorably discharged on 21 Nov 1919. Served in Germany and France. He was described with blue eyes, dark hair, fair complexion and was 5&#8242; 11&#8243; tall. He died 18 Aug 1974 and is buried at the Clifton City Cemetery, Clifton, Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>He married Nancy Reminte LINEBERRY and they had one son, Arland TURNBO who was born 1 Oct 1931.<\/p>\n<p>John Abe TURNBO&#8217;s siblings were Hugh Arthur, George Allen, Albert William and Thomas Anderson TURNBO; Aley Aslee and Mary Ada TURNBO.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TURNBO, John Abe, serial number 2873542, Private, US Army.
