He was discharged 5 March 1919 at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Someone in the barracks where Olison was stationed came down with measles and the whole barracks was quarantined. They could not go overseas so they were discharged and sent home after only six months of service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;font-size: 12pt\">Olison S. PRATER (Tog), (Squire), was born 9 Sept. 1895 in Wayne Co., TN, died 16 Dec 1973, and is buried at Prater\u2019s Chapel Cemetery, Wayne Co., TN. He was the son of Tode PRATER born 9 Sept 1867, and Lucy Ann BATTLES, born 15 July 1869. Grandson of Archey PRATER, born 22 Nov 1840 and Martha Fannie HALE, born 17 May 1841. Olison\u2019s siblings were Minnie Ethel PRATER, born 12 March 1888; Charles Haselton PRATER born 13 Sept. 1889; Edker Wallace PRATER, born 6 Dec 1891; Albert Louis PRATER born 6 Dec 1893; Arthur Kirkland PRATER, born 4 Aug 1897; Nancy PRATER born 5 July 1899 (died before age 8).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;font-size: 12pt\">Tog married Elvis Mae CONWAY, 18 March 1919. Elvis was born 28 Nov 1899 in Wayne Co. TN. Tog was a farmer. He lived in Wayne County all his life. He served in the County as follows: County Magistrate, Justice of Peace, Wayne County Farm Bureau, Equilization Board, Draft Board World War II, and Charter member of the American Legion Post #130, Waynesboro, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;font-size: 12pt\">Tog and Elvis had 10 children, 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Their children are<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;font-size: 12pt\">1. James Jerry PRATER, born 23 Nov 1919, died 26 Nov 1919.\r\n2. Connie Howe PRATER, born 17 Oct 1920, d. 27 July 1994, married 1st to \r\n\tHelen Virginia TURNBO, and had a daughter:\r\n\tA. Glenda Faye PRATER, married 1) ___BOWLING; 2) Chip NICKELL. By first \r\n\t\tmarriage had one daughter\r\n\t\t1. Teresa BOWLING married 1) Terry CROSS, 2) Mike WHITSETT. She had \r\n\t\t\ttwo sons:\r\n\t\t\ta. Cody Dane CROSS\r\n\t\t\tb. Chaz Custis WHITSETT\r\n\r\n\tConnie married second to Martha Pearl LLOYD FOSTER. Martha had a daughter \r\n\tby her previous marriage:\r\n\tA. Jane Foster who married Carvel RISNER and had two sons: Shane RISNER \r\n\t\tand Carlton RISNER.\r\n\r\n\tConnie and Martha had the following sons:\r\n\tA. Timothy Dwayne PRATER\r\n\tB. Connie Howe PRATER, Jr., married Mary Jane SMITH and had daughter, \r\n\t\tKatie Elizabeth PRATER\r\n\tC. Allen Kirk PRATER.\r\n3. Margie Viola PRATER, born 6 Jan 1923, married James Carrell JUDD and \r\n\thad two daughters:\r\n\tA. Connie Carrel JUDD, married Peter LAMPE and had daughter \r\n\t\t1. Kristina Mayree LAMPE who married Gary Robert ALLEN.\r\n\tB. Phyllis Mae JUDD, married Harry TIDWELL and had a daughter,\r\n\t\t1. Jennier Rebecca TIDWELL who married 1) Craig Lee CARR; 2) Scott \r\n\t\tREINARD.\r\n4. Mae Olison PRATER born 28 April 1927, d. 25 May 1983, married Howard O. \r\n\tWALKER and had two daughters:\r\n\tA. Sharon Mae WALKER, married 1) James NORWOOD and had two daughters; \r\n\t\tmarried 2) Richard WILSON.\r\n\t\t1. Susan Lee NORWOOD married Steve MOSELEY.\r\n\t\t2. Sandra Ann NORWOOD.\r\n\tB. Sue Ann WALKER married Hugh HANLIN and had three sons:\r\n\t\t1. Neal Walker HANLIN.\r\n\t\t2. Cary Hays HANLIN.\r\n\t\t3. Ryan Prater HANLIN.\r\n5. Billy Joe PRATER born 25 May 1929, d. 6 June 1929.\r\n6. Dorothy Jane PRATER, born 10 Sept. 1931, married LeRoy Otto EMBRY, Jr., \r\n\tand had six children:\r\n\tA. Sherri Lee EMBRY, married James Steven PERRY and had two sons and \r\n\t\tone daughter:\r\n\t\t1. Alan Lee PERRY.\r\n\t\t2. Eric Steven PERRY.\r\n\t\t3. Sarah Jane PERRY.\r\n\tB. Jane Ellen EMBRY married Tommy Lee MARTIN and had four daughters:\r\n\t\t1. Lily Winona MARTIN\r\n\t\t2. Holly Ellen MARTIN\r\n\t\t3. Jasmine Lee MARTIN\r\n\t\t4. Cheyenne Rose MARTIN\r\n\tC. Robert LeRoy EMBRY, unmarried.\r\n\tD. Cynthia Fae EMBRY, married Thomas Wayne BOCIEK and had two sons:\r\n\t\t1. Jesse Thomas BOCIEK\r\n\t\t2. Justin Lee BOCIEK\r\n\tE.
