He married Edna Paulk, 8 Nov 1849, the daughter\r\n\t\tof Jason and Mahala Thornton Paulk. C. M. served as a personal scout to\r\n\t\tGen. Granville Dodge during the War of Rebellion and was County Superintendent\r\n\t\tof Education. He was a Mason and a Hardshell Baptist. His children were\r\n\t\tZachariah Jason, Charles Malone Jr., Nancy Malinda Ann Mahala, anad Jesse \r\n\t\tNewton Thompson.\r\n<strong>Thompson, Edna Paulk,<\/strong> 30 Jun 1832 - 30 Mar 1915, age 82 years, 9 months, wife of C.
