Thomas Montague deeded 2 acres to Campground Church in 1834. The first trustees for the church were Alexander Steele, Richard Tidwell, and Ben Steele. Some are pre-Civil War. There are also crypt graves with no identification. There is a grave about a quarter of a mile from the Campground Cemetery with L.J. on a field stone. Lewis Johnson entered land in the area. It is possible that this is his grave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Enumerated by J.
