State of Tennessee Wayne County) Be it remembered that a Quorum County Court was began and held for the County of Wayne at the Court house in the town of Waynesboro on the 6th day it being the first Monday in May AD 1850 The following Justices present and presiding (to wit) D J JONES Chr. YOUNG & LAFFERTY his associates
A settlement between Wm JONES Clerk of this Court and John A. GRIMES Administrator of the estate of E S GRIMES dec’d was this day presented to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded
A settlement between Wm JONES Clerk of this Court and John S BURNS Guardian of the miner heirs of R A MACK dec’d was this day submitted to the Court which was confirmed by the Court and ordered to be recorded
A settlement between Wm JONES Clerk of this Court and J.S.BURNS Guardian of Charles C D MACK was this day Submitted to the Court which was confirmed by the Court and ordered to be recorded
A settlement between Wm JONES Clerk of this Court and John S BURNS Guar. of James V MACK was this day Submitted to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded
Ordered by the Court that James HAGGARD be appointed overseer of the road of 3rd Class and that he work from the Turnpike road from near his house to the Waynesboro & Savannah Road at Wm J GRIMES and that he have all the hands that live on Eagle Creek from his house to the head of said and the hands on Mrs.[?] MITCHELLs plantation to work under his direction Isued May 27th 1850
The Last will and testament of Hiram ROBERTS was this day exibited[sic] in open Court and the execution of the same being duly proven by the subscribing witnesses there to and upon application of A B GANT & David COOK Executors named in said will for letters and the said A B GANT and David COOK having intered into bond in the sum of four thousand dollars with John L CYPERT and Rial BREWER conditioned for the faithful performance of said Execorship[sic] which was approved of by the Court whereupon the court ordered letters to isue to them accordingly whereupon the said A B GANT and David COOK took the necessary oath for their qualification

Came into Court Robert H COPERT [COPERT written here, but signed as COOPER] who was on the 20th of April 1850 duly and lawfully Elected Constable for said county by the qualified voters of the fourteeth[sic] civil district thereof and entered into the following bond (to wit) [here follows the standard bond) / / s / / R H COOPER (seal) David ROGERS (seal) John F PITTS (seal) A P COOK (seal) And the execution of the said bond being duly acknowledged in open Court by the said R H COOPER & each of his said Securities which was approved of by the Court and ordered to be recorded Whereupon the said R H COOPER took the necessary Oaths for his qualification

Ordered by the Court that John F PITTS be appointed overseer of the road of 2d Class in the place of C C ROSS and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction Isued May 27th 1850
Came into Court Robert L CYPERT who was on the 2d day of March 1850 duly and lawfully elected Constable for Wayne County by the qualified voters of the 8th civil district thereof and entered into the following bond (to wit) [here follows the standard bond] / / s / / Robert L CYPERT (seal) William D COPELAND (seal) John W CYPERT (seal) F W LOYD (seal) T [Tidings in text] THOMPSON (seal) And the said R.L.[or S] CYPERT and each of his said securities came into court and [execut-crossed out] acknowledged the execution of said bound[sic] in open Court which was approved of and received by the Court and ordered to be recorded Whereupon the said R L CYPERT took the necessary oaths for his qualification

Came David ROGERS who was on the 20th day of April 1850 duly and lawfully elected Justice of the peace for Wayne County by the qualified voters of the 14th civil district thereof and presented to the Court his commission whereupon the said David ROGERS took the necessary oaths for his qualification
