March, 1875; built first telephone system in Hardin Co., Tenn., Savannah to Bethel Springs in 1887; married twice, first, Sarah Motley April 17, 1874, second, Gaston Broyles Jan. 18, 1896; member Masons, K. of P., I.O.O.F. and W.O.W.; member of M.E. church, South; engaged in drug business J.K.
