MURPHY, Newton “Buster”, who served in World War I from Wayne County. He was born on 10 June 1893 at Martin’s Mills, Wayne County, Tennessee and died 27 February 1967 in Pemiscot County, Missouri. He was the son of William Murphy and Eliza Jane Atkinson.

From what I can tell he was married twice. He was first married on 6 May
1917 in Wayne County to Meda Pipes. He then married Delphia Brewer sometime
before 1927, probably in Lauderdale County, Alabama.
