My father was Wilson Haggard Martin, b. December 3, 1917, served honorably in World War 2, hit the beach on D-Day the second wave.
He served 33 months continuously before being honorably discharged with 2 bronze stars. He returned to Tennessee where he started a grocery business and met my mother, Cwell Philpot who was working at Sears with Daddy’s cousin Edna Mae. My parents married Sept. 1947. My sister was born November 23, 1949 and I came along on July 18, 1953. I am the sole survivor of this family. My name is Martha Jean ( Martin) Campbell.
