Tinnon, James Harvey

TINNON, James Harvey, serial number 652,306, Private, Co. A, 56th Engineers, American Expeditionary Forces, inducted 13 Dec 1917, Waynesboro, TN, was in the St. Muriel Offensive and in the Muse -Argonne Campaign. Overseas from 6 Mar 1918 until 25 April 1919, honorably discharged Ft. Oglethorpe, GA on 7 May 1919.

James Harvey TINNON was born 1 March 1891, the son of John Franklin TINNON and Martha E. BOSWELL. He was born in Clifton, Wayne County, Tennessee. He had two sisters, Mrs. Betty TINNON KLOSS and Mrs. Mary TINNON HALFORD of Memphis, Tennessee.

James Harvey TINNON married Martha HARDIN of Linton, KY. She was born 1 May 1915 and was the daughter of Thomas HARDIN of Critton Co., KY and Ida JOHNSON HARDIN born Trigg Co., KY.

James Harvey TINNON and Martha had three daughters: Mrs. Margie Maxine ANDRECHT, born Aug 1934, of Paducah, KY; Mrs. Shirley Ann BLACKWELL, born May 1937, of Madison, IL; and Mrs. Betty Lou HOMYER, b. Feb 1940, of Carlinville, IL.
