NEWTON, James – NEWTON, James – reported lost in action at or near Centerville, 29 Sep 64. Died 28 May 65 in general hospital Jefferson Barracks, MO of diarrhea. POW record: 20 Apr 65 paroled at Vicksburg, MS, admitted to Hospital Parole Camp near Vicksburg MS 26 Apr 65, sent to Gen. Hospital 28 May 65, died in general hospital, Jefferson Barracks, MO. NEWLEY, Paschal I. – NAULY, Pascal – Reported in hospital in Pulaski, Tenn on 8 Mar 64, reported died of disease at Pulaski, TN on 28 Apr 64. Final Statement: Born in Lauderdale Co., AL, age 45 years, 5’10”, dark complexion, gray eyes, brown hair, a farmer. Died at Pulaski 28 April 64.

BROWN, Mark P. – BROWN, Mark P. – Reported died at Clifton of small pox on 25 April 1864. Final statement: born in Carol Co., Georiga, 5’7″ dark coomplexion, gray eyes, black hair, a farmer.

RANALS, Franklin – RANALS, Franklin – Reported died at Lawrenceburg TN of wounds accidently received on 19 May 1864. Final Statement: born in Giles Co., TN 21 years old, 5’6″ fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair, a farmer.

LAD, John – LAD, John – reported sick in hospital at Johnsonville on 22 July 64. Reported died of disease at Johnsonville, of fever, on 3 Sep 1864. Final Statement: born Franklin, TN, 19 years old, 5’7″ blue eyes, black hair, a laborer.

HUGHES, Barnett M. – HUGHS, Bennett M. – reported wounded in action at Clifton, TN on 8 July 1864. Reported died in hospital in Johnsonville, TN on 22 July 1864 roll. Final Statement: born in Limestone Co., AL, 20 years old, 5’11”, dark complexion, black eyes, black hair, a farmer. Died in Johnsonville Post Hospital 16 Sep 1864 of gunshot wound through left lung.

WELCH, William H. – WELCH, William H. – reported 28 Sep 64 as killed in action on Beech Creek, Hickman Co., TN (also near Centreville, TN on 29 Sep 1864). Final Statement: born Kamler Co.,MS, 19 years old, 6’2″ dark complexion, black hair and eyes, a laborer. Killed in action 29 Sep 1864.

DINKERS, Patrick – DINKENS, Patrick – Appointed Sgt. Major 29 Feb 1864 and transferred to Field and Staff. Resigned Sgt. Major on 7 Sep 1864 and reassigned to duty with Co. F.

RODGERS, Thos. J. – RODGER, Thomas J. – reported deserted at Clifton, TN on 6 April 1864. Due US $45.42 for ordinance and stores taken when deserted.

Hospital no. 11925 No. 19, Resided in Giles Co., TN, wife, Jaminor of Pulaski, TN. Soldier died of inflammation of the lungs. Final Statement: born in Franklin Co., AL 20 years old, 5’8″ tall, dark complexion, yellow eyes, black hair, a farmer. Died at Hospital No. 19.

Record of Death and Interment: Grave No. 9016 City Cemetery. Single, mother Amanda NEWTON of Pulaski, Gerrald[?] Co., TN. Died of typhoid pneumonia at 18 years; from Alabama. Final Statement: born Lauderdale Co., AL, 18 years old, 5′ tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair, a farmer. Died in Nashville hospital No. 19, 9 Aug 1864.
