General Courts Marshall: sentence – reduction to ranks and forfeiture of pay and allowance for the term of one month and 90 days hard labor from 31 Oct 64, muster out not to effect sentence. Notation on record from pension office 11 Feb 1903.

GRIFFIN, Henry C. – GRIFFIN, Henry – Enrolled in Perry Co., TN, Reported captured near Centerville on 28 September 1864. On 5 Apr 1865 entered McPherson Gen’l Hospital Vicksburg MS and died 15 Apr 1865 of chronic diarrhea. War Department Casualty Sheet: 25 June 1868 “entered hospital from Parole Camp.” Pow Record 4 Apr 65 at Camp Parole, 5 Apr 65 admitted to McPherson Gen’l Hospital near Vicksburg.

[Apparently received his final call home].
