HOLBROOK, Ethelburt A. – HOLBROKS, Ethelbert – enrolled at Perry Co., TN, promoted to Sgt 29 Apr 64; reported deserted N&NWRR Sec 54 on 8 Aug 64. 26 Sep 64 reported in confinement in Nashville. General Courts Marshall: sentence – reduction to ranks and forfeiture of pay and allowance for the term of one month and 90 days hard labor from 31 Oct 64, muster out not to effect sentence. Notation on record from pension office 11 Feb 1903.

DINKINS, Patricks – DINKENS, Patrick – Enrolled at Pulaski 27 Oct 63 in Co. I. Appointed SGM by Regimental HQ Order Number 5 on 29 Feb 1864 and transferred to Field and Staff; reigned SGM and assigned to duty with Co. F by order #46 on 7 Sep 64. Mustered out at Gallatin 19 Jan 65.

WESBROOKS, James A. – WESTBROOKS, James A. – Enrolled Perry Co, TN 20 Nov 1863. Deserted Section 54 on 29 July 1864, reported in confinement in Nashville Military Prison onn 25 Sep 1864, remarks “awaiting sentence of General Courts Marshall.” War Department Notation: 25 Aug 1886, charge of desertion 29 July 1864 is removed, was absent from 29 July 64 to 25 Sep 64. 3 Sep 1883 – report to show muster out date of 19 Jan 1865.

BUNCH, Alexander – BUNCH, Alexander aka Alexander B – Enrolled in Perry Co., TN. Reported 28 Sep 1864 captured near Centerville, TN. Notation AG’s office 6 Oct 1883 – Killed by Confederate cavalry near Perryville KY on or about 8 Nov 1864. No additional info on casualty sheet, no confirmation of record on Prisoner of War Record.

GRIFFIN, Henry C. – GRIFFIN, Henry – Enrolled in Perry Co., TN, Reported captured near Centerville on 28 September 1864. On 5 Apr 1865 entered McPherson Gen’l Hospital Vicksburg MS and died 15 Apr 1865 of chronic diarrhea. War Department Casualty Sheet: 25 June 1868 “entered hospital from Parole Camp.” Pow Record 4 Apr 65 at Camp Parole, 5 Apr 65 admitted to McPherson Gen’l Hospital near Vicksburg.

JOHNSON, John T. – JOHNSON, John T. – Enrolled in Perry Co.,TN. Reported captured 28 Sept 64 near Centerville, but mustered out on 4 March 65 with company. Casualty Sheet in file, no POW record.

PORTER, William H. – PORTER, William H. – Enrolled Perry Co., TN. Reported captured at Centerville on 24 July 64, but mustered out with company 4 March 65.

WILSON, William – WILSON, William – Enrolled in Perry Co. TN, captured near Centerville TN on 28 Sep 64. Remarks: captured 28 Sep 64 and confined to Rebel Prison at Cahaba, ALA, paroled 16 Mar 65 at Black River. POW record: sent to Camp Chase 14 May 65, MO with company 1 Apr 65.

TAYLOR, William – TAYLOR, William – Enrolled Perry Co. TN. Reported dead on roll dated 30 April 64 died at Clifton 1 April 1864 and also deserted due US for ordinance and ordinance stores $56.34. [However it seems he had a miraculous resurrection as he] rejoined the unit on 28 June 1864, then was reported deserted on 16 Aug 1864 from Section 54 N&NWRR, reported rejoined on 12 Sep 1864 and final entry, deserted 12 Oct 1864, Section 54 N&NWRR. [Apparently received his final call home].

BARBER, James A. – BARBER, James A. – No entry on AG’s report, however, on War Department record he is given as enrolled at Clifton, TN, Perry Co., TN also shown. Reported captured near Centerville 24 July 1864, but was present on roll of 12 Nov 1864 and mustered out at Nashville on 4 March 1865.

BASTIN, Adley C. – BASTIN, Adley O. – promoted to Corporal on 29 April 1864. Sick in hospital in Clarksville, TN on 5 Dec 1864. Mustered out 4 March 1865.

COPELAND, Henry W. – COPLAND, Henry W. – Enrolled at Clifton, TN. Appointed Corporal on 29 April 1864. Reported deserted from Section 54 N&NWRR on 8 Aug 1864, carried as absent from 30 June 1864 until 31 Oct 1864. On 25 Sep 1864 reported in confinement in Nashville, TN. POW Records: paroled at Vicksburg 16 March 1865, captured at Columbia on 1 October 1864. Paroled Camp Vicksburg 30 Mar 1865 No. 291 sent to General Hospital 30 March 1864. 25 April 1865 furloughed to 30 days to report to Camp Chase, Ohio.

SHELTON, Jerome W. – SHELTON, Jerome W. – Enrolled at Clifton, TN 20 Feb 1864. Appointed Corporal on 29 April 1864. Reported on detached service scouting on 29 Aug 1864, reported deserted at Section 54 N&NWRR on 12 Sep 1864, record also shows desertion as 4 Sep 1864.
