Sorry the TNGen Web pages have been down today. The whole state was having problems.<\/p>\n

The 1861 Enumeration of Free White Males of the State, Washington County, Tennessee has been added. Big THANKS to Rose Tate for transcribing this document.<\/p>\n

Won’t it be interesting to know which army and which unit each of these men served.<\/p>\n

There are some names missing from this list that I know about. Wonder if they were out of the county or as one old fellow said “hiding behind the barn” when the enumerator stopped by.<\/p>\n
