Willett\u2019s Company, John Stout, 3 slaves and 427 acres<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Washington County, TN Marriage Records<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">John STOUT married Rachel IRVINE, Feb 9, 1826\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">LOCATION \u2013<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">On the northeastern side of Powell Road, off Old State Route 34 near West View School.\u00a0 The exact location cannot be determined, however the high elevation and a previous unconfirmed note seem to indicate the burial ground to most likely be on Washington County tax parcel 080-039.45 fairly near Powell Road.\u00a0 The general area has been walked and inspected and several neighbors were asked about the burial ground.\u00a0 A prior owner as well as a longtime resident cannot recall ever seeing any fence or markers.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>GPS LOCATION:<\/strong> +36\u00b0 13.620, -82\u00b0 35.500 (approximate)<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>DEEDS \u2013<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Deed Book 17, Page 468 (1822) \u2013 Thomas Gillespie to John Stout.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Deed Book 520, Page 464 (1977) \u2013 Carrie Amelia Anderson to Henry &amp; Laura Andrews for her share of the Anderson heirs.\u00a0 This deed describes the entire farm, which was in 8 tracts.\u00a0 There were several other deeds representing various shares, all conveyed to Henry &amp; Laura Andrews.\u00a0 None of these deeds mentions a burial ground.\u00a0 Based upon an old sketch, it is believed that the burial ground would fall into what was designated as tract #1, which very closely matches the metes and bounds from DB17\/468 noted above.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Deed Book 588, Page 650 (1983) \u2013 Henry &amp; Laura Andrews to James &amp; Sandra Powell.\u00a0 No mention of a burial ground.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"> \u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>BURIALS \u2013<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">No additional information has been found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Surveyed, transcribed and donated to the Washington County TNGen Web October 2015 by Gordon M.
