From volume 2, page 192 \u2013 entry 2-66<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLone grave, CLARK, Civil War Soldier. Killed crossing the river on the way to the mountains. Grave is on Kenneth Duncan farm, Hwy 197, 1<\/i>st<\/i><\/sup><\/span> District. Information given to Mildred Brittain by Horace Tinker\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LOCATION<\/u><\/span><\/strong> \u2013 The precise location is uncertain. Along Highway 107 near the intersection of Onks Lane on Washington County tax parcel 101-044.02 A descendant of the Duncan\u2019s pointed out the approximate location \u2013 within just several feet. The area has had some light grading done, and the fieldstone marker is now gone \u2013 a tree was planted very close to the grave. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

GPS Location<\/strong>:<\/b><\/u><\/span> approximate<\/span> +36\u00b0 09.090, -82\u00b0 33.940<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DEEDS<\/u><\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Deed Book 89, Page (1906) \u2013 40 acres acquired by Jacob & Hannah Duncan. Deed Book 244, Page 590 (1947) \u2013 Jacob & Hannah Duncan to Kenneth & Bethel Duncan. No mention of a grave on the property. Deeds simply establish the location of the Duncan property. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
