Information used with the permission of Lorraine Bennett Rae.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">This burial ground was found on the topographic map notes of Mr. Charles M. Bennett.\u00a0 It shows up on some maps as \u201c2-M\u201d.\u00a0 It does not appear in Volume 2 of Mr. Bennett\u2019s work.\u00a0 Notes indicate few markers, none of which can be read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">GPS Location:\u00a0 +36\u00b0 14.050, -82\u00b0 31.125<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0 All traces of this burial ground are now gone.\u00a0 Markers were destroyed several years ago, according to the neighboring property owner.\u00a0 The current resident of Charley Miller\u2019s homeplace, at 433 Conklin Road Jonesborough, remembers seeing markers and a makeshift fence, and pointed out the location, at the site of a double wide at 120 King Road, which is a side road leading behind the Miller homeplace.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Deeds \u2013<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">All deeds reviewed remain silent on the existence of a burial ground.\u00a0 Several deeds were reviewed, however, only one particularly gives a clue to the possible history.\u00a0 Deed Book 367\/332 is a conveyance within the Miller Family.\u00a0 It covers a 19 acre parcel, that when plotted, clearly overlays the tax maps and includes the subject graveyard.\u00a0 Within the body of Deed Book 367\/332, the following is mentioned \u201c\u2026\u2026..The above being known as the George W. Sprinkle place\u2026\u2026.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">George W. Sprinkle was a preacher serving in the area, and was involved in the establishment of the New Victory Methodist Church \u2013 circa 1900.\u00a0 The subject burial ground is within eyesight of the church.\u00a0 Charley Miller, known also as Charles Sprinkle Miller, was the grandson of George W. Sprinkle.\u00a0 Charley Miller\u2019s wife was Myrtle V. Barron.\u00a0 The Barrons had a presence in that immediate area also.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">The property eventually ended up in the hands of Hubert Miller, son of Charley and Myrtle.\u00a0 This provides for four generations of continuous ownership of the graveyard by essentially the same family.\u00a0 Over the years the property was partitioned into smaller parcels.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Burials \u2013<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Based upon the size of the area described by the current owner, the graveyard covered roughly a 20\u2019 X 30\u2019 area \u2013 perhaps a dozen or two burials.\u00a0 No names are known, nor is the date of establishment.\u00a0 Perhaps Sprinkle\/Miller family \u2013 perhaps parishioners of Rev. Sprinkle, or perhaps both.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A visit to the site yielded no clues. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Surveyed, transcribed, researched and donated to the Washington County TNGen Web April 2015 by Gordon M.
