Information used with the permission of Lorraine Bennett Rae.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">Volume 1, Page 217<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">\u201c<strong>STALLIN<\/strong> \u2013 \u00be mi W of the center of Johnson City, near Montrose Court.\u00a0 (This would be about half-way between Cemeteries 38 and 39.)\u00a0 This is an abandoned cemetery.\u00a0 (Information was received that the graves had been moved to Oak Hill, but no Stallin graves were found there.)\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva\"><strong>GPS:<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">\u00a0 +36\u00b0 18.385, -82\u00b0 21.450<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Location<\/strong>:\u00a0 1106 Southwest Avenue, Johnson City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">Deeds \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">Deed Book 65, Page 324 \u2013 1883 \u2013 J.H. Stallings and wife, M.E. Stallings purchase a 1 acre parcel (206\u2019 X 215\u2019) from William Harr and his wife, Alice Harr.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">The Stallings conveyed several house lots from this 1 acre parcel between 1890 and 1907.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">The only evidence found that could possibly indicate a burial ground was Deed Book 95, Page 302.\u00a0 On July 25, 1907 J.H. Stallings and his wife, M.E. Stallings conveyed a small 22\u2019 X 24\u2019 parcel to the Unaka Corporation.\u00a0 This appears to be a final piece of the original 1 acre parcel, and would give the Unaka Corporation ownership of all the surrounding property, which they subsequently developed.\u00a0 Plotting of the metes &amp; bounds puts this small parcel just west of the Montrose Court building.\u00a0 Nothing is mentioned about a graveyard, although, given the parcel size, it logically could represent the burial ground mentioned in the WCCL. <\/span><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">Burials \u2013<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 14pt\">No information has been found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;font-size: 10pt\">Surveyed, transcribed and donated to the Washington County TNGen Web March 2015 by Gordon M.
