While it has long been known as<br \/>\nthe John Campbell house, it is on land once belonging to Leeroy Taylor<br \/>\nand at least one well-informed local historian believed the house was<br \/>\nbuilt by Leeroy Taylor. Over the years additions have been made to the<br \/>\noriginal building until now the log cabin is entirely surrounded by<br \/>\nadded rooms, but with the logs still visible in some rooms. It has been<br \/>\noccupied by descendants of John Campbell for several generations with a<br \/>\ndescendant, Mrs. Jo Campbell Keys, now residing there. The house is<br \/>\nlocated at the end of a lane leading into Muddy Fork Road about a mile<br \/>\nfrom Leesburg. Leeroy Taylor&#8217;s son, William, is buried beside Muddy<br \/>\nFork Road near its intersection with Fairview Road.<\/p>\n<p>p.192:<br \/>\n&#8230; A single grave, that of William Taylor, is located beside Muddy<br \/>\nFork Road near Leesburg Presbyterian Church.<\/p>\n<p>p. 281:<br \/>\nMargaret [Campbell] (1771-1852 Louden County, Tennessee, married<br \/>\nWilliam Taylor, son of LeRoy Taylor.
