Mason. Vol. XXXIX #34 Wednesday, November 20, 1907.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Mason, Sue Tyler \u2013 Died in Washington City on last Sunday, the wife of Rev. Jas. G. Mason. Her remains was brought to this place and burial will take place today. Vol. VI #21 February 18, 1875. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Mathes, Florence \u2013 Died in this place, this morning, Florence Mathes, daughter of John S. and Anna S. Mathes, age two years and four months. Vol. IV. #52 September 18, 1873.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Naff, George Eakin \u2013 Died March 14, 1899 in Johnson City. Buried in Old Cemetery Jonesboro. Vol. XXIX #47 Wednesday, March 15, 1899.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Naff, John H. &#8211; Died June 23, 1898 having reached the age of eighty three years. His remains were buried Friday afternoon in the old cemetery. Vol. XXIX #10 Wednesday, June 29, 1898. David M.\u2013 Born 1845, died 1881 at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. S.A. Cunningham, of this place on Thursday morning of last week. Mr. Nelson was the son of the late Judge Thos. A.R. Nelson. He joined the Federal Army and served on Gen. Gillam&#8217;s Staff. He was buried in the town cemetery Friday morning beside of his mother, and grandfather and grandmother Nelson. NO MARKER<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Patterson, J.W. &#8211; Born May 25, 1854, died June 29, 1895, Saturday evening about 7:45 o&#8217;clock, in the wreck of the Bristol accommodation as it was nearing Limestone.. Funeral took place here on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hickson and the remains were interred in the old cemetery on the hill. Vol. XXIX #41 Wednesday February 1, 1899.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Reeves, Mary Murphy \u2013 Died October 15, 1905. Funeral conducted by Rev. J.H. Groseclose and was buried in Old Cemetery in the east side of town. Vol. XXXVII #29 Wednesday October 18, 1905.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Reeves, Wm. P. &#8211; Born December 15, 1803, died 20 Aug 1885 at his home, Wheatland at age of 83. Vol. XVI #27 Thursday, August 17, 1885.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Rhea, Wm. R. &#8211; Born October 20 1840, died June 1, 1903. Remains were brought here from Morristown on the train Tuesday and buried in the Old Cemetery that afternoon with Masonic honors. He was a postmaster in Johnson City and worked at the pension office of Knoxville. Vol. XXXV #6 Wednesday, June 10, 1903.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Sevier, Lucy Evans \u2013 Born February 11, 1840, died February 1, 1903. She was one of six children of Hamilton and Minerva Evans. Married to Dr. W.B. Sevier. After Dr. Sevier died, she and her little son went to Indian Territory and taught Government School at Tallequah. Vol. XXXIV #44 Wednesday, February 18, 1903.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Slater, Ada Trusler \u2013 Died March 25, 1905. Wife of E.C. Slater and daughter of Andrew Trusler. Early Saturday morning Mrs. Slater gave birth to twin girls and in a few hours both mother and children had passed. They were laid to rest in the same casket in the old cemetery. Vol. XXXVI #52 Wednesday March 29, 1905.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Sparks, Miss Sophia \u2013 Death came at 8:00 Monday at the residence of Bro. Wm. Sparks and was buried in the cemetery in this place (Jonesboro) Tuesday. Vol. XXXIII #29 Wednesday, November 6, 1901. NO MARKER<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Stuart, Samuel Decator \u2013 Born Mar 29, 1866 Boones Creek, died November 8, 1893. He married Miss Mamy L. Fain, who survives him with a little son three months old. Funeral services were held in the Church at 10:30 Thursday morning and the body was buried in the old cemetery at Jonesboro.
