No part may be copied without written permission from the Cemetery Survey Team.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">Four additional unmarked graves were found 20 Sept 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><i>From History of Washington County Tennessee 1988<\/i><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"> by the Watauga Association of Genealogists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">The Ira Green House was built circa 1812; this two-story frame house was constructed by Ira Green in Broylesville. Dr. A.S.N. and Nannie Jane McGaughery Dobson purchased the farm and house from Ira Green&#8217;s son, Adam, in 1866. Ira Green also purchased a lot in Brownsborough.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">In 1829 Ira Green signed a petitioned to the legislature to clear the Nolichucky of obstructions, stating that the river was their main route &#8220;in the transportation of their surplus commodities, that notwithstanding the great quantity of produce annually freighted on said river, it is so obstructed with dams for fish traps and other purposes that the safe navigation therefore is greatly injured. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">From <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><i>Keith&#8217;s Typescript with Additions<\/i><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"> by John k. Broyles, Sr, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">Mary Broyles (daughter of Reuben Broyles, and his wife Rosina Broyles) was born 16 Jane 1788, died 26 March 1862, married 27 Sept 1813 to Ira Green, who was born 19 Aug 1777, died 18 May 1848. He made a will in Washington Co., Tenn. 21 Dec 1847, probated June 1847.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">Their children:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\"> 1. Rosanna B. Green, born 5 June 1814, died 17 June 1848, married William McRoberts 4 Feb 1845.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">2. Joshua Newton Green<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">3. Reuben Broyles Green<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">4. Susanna W. Green<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">5. Mary B. Green born 24 July 1822, died 30 July 1845.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">6. Ira H.H. Green born 7 Feb 1825, died 7 Feb 1847 in New Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">7. Adam Broyles Green.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">8. Amanda E. Green born 22 Nov 1829, married J.N.D. Green 20 Sept 1851. She died 31 Mar 1873 near Columbus, Ind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">9.
