Robert and father, James were both born in Washington County, Tennessee. Rachel Baskette was born in 1823 and died before 1857. She and Robert Hale Gray had the following children: John, Landon, James, Mary E., and Elbert Gray. After Rachel died, Robert married Letitia Ellis and had the following children: Samuel, Jacob, Rebecca J., and Harvey H. Gray. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">Ida E. Gray is the daughter of John and Melvina Gray. Her siblings were: George Willard, Charles Thomas, Richard Citzmiller and Grover Cleveland Gray. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: verdana,geneva\">Melvina Wheelock was the daughter of William Kincheloe Wheelock and Mary Ann Brown.
