Bennett and the Watauga Association of Genealogists, vol. 1, p.1 with permission from Loraine B. Rae:<\/p>\n<p>Note &#8211; Clark descendants have provided the following information:<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Clark and his brother, Jacob, owned 354 1\/2 acres of this Western Johnson City land from 1851 to 1904 when the Daniel Clark land was sold. None of the Jacob Clark land was sold until 1920.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few years ago, there were at least ten other stones but these are gone now. Others buried there included: Blevins, Pippin, and Mitchell. One of these is Loretta Clark Blevins, dau. of Jacob and Sarah Bowman Clark. Also, there are two graves of Confederate soldiers &#8211; names unknown.<\/p>\n<p>These members of the same Clark family are buried at Monte Vista:<\/p>\n<p>Clark, Daniel, 1 Jan 1856 &#8211; Aug. 1924 &#8211; son of Jacob and Sarah; m.
