A few of those are found with tombstones at Bumpus Cove Cemetery, but not all. Others are connected by familial relationships. It is unconfirmed as to the reason Bumpus Cove Cemetery was known as Tucker on these few death certificates.
Markers at Bumpus Cove were found for Christopher Columbus Tucker 6/27/1855-3/7/1930) and his wife, Amanda Cordelia Boone Tucker (6/1861-2/13/1935), George Tucker (1880-1963), and Winnie Mae Starnes Tucker (1891-1918). None of their death certificates indicate “Tucker” however. A possible theory, but unproven, is perhaps Christopher C.
