NORTH
I am researching the NORTH family in Warren County, TN. My gr. gr. gr. grandparents were William NORTH (b. 1784 VA - d.?) and Nancy SMITH (b. 1795 VA - d.?). They apparently show up in the 1850 Warren County census with 5 children. I believe William was a farmer. I understand William's will is recorded in Will Book 3, p. 100, is dated Aug 7 1848 and was proved Oct 6 1871. (Does this mean he died in 1871?) William and Nancy apparently had 5 children (Manerva, born 1819, who married David HENRY; Louisia, born 1829, who married Hugh ARMSTRONG; Clarisse, born 1831; Thomas, born 1832; and William, born 1835, who was my gr. gr. grandfather. According to one source, the younger William's occupation was "farmer-school." His son, James Mortimer North (my gr. grandfather), is believed to have been born about 1855 in TN, perhaps in Warren County. I would appreciate receiving any information about the NORTH family or their spouses.

My name is Carl Barger. I am researching my Gr-Gr-Grandfather, Allen BARGER and his wife Nancy BULLOCK. I would like to know if Nancy BULLOCK may have come from your county. I think she may have married Allen BARGER sometime around 1830-35. Allen lived in BLEDSOE Co. during the 1837-39 years. He and Nancy had two children that were listed in the 1840 federal census for Ripley Co. Mo. Both children gave that they were born in Tn. I would like any information on either Allen or Nancy. Also, on John BARGER and Pointer BARGER who also were in Bledsoe Co. in the 1840 federal census. I also think that Nancy's father may have been Joseph BULLOCK. In 1894, Robert Lewis DOUGLAS, b March 1873, married Lucy Talent TOLLIVER b 1876. Her parents were John and Elizabeth TOLLIVER. Robert and Lucy's Children were: Maude, Hesker, Lulan, Harry, Martha, Robert, Beatrice, and Russell DOUGLAS. The DOUGLASES came from Beech Grove in Coffee County and moved to Nashville around 1900. Robert Lewis DOUGLAS was my grandfather. Would love to learn more about them. Heard they have lived in several middle Tennessee counties. I would appreciate any information on these families.

HILL
Looking for additional information on Wright HILL, b. 1784 in NC, one of the sons of Isaac HILL, Sr. and Lucinda WALLACE, who moved to Warren Co., TN in the early 1800's. Wright HILL also lived for a time in Warren CO., TN; his name appears in 1815 on a deed of 80 acres on the west side of Collins River, and his first son, William Chapman HILL was born circa 1818 in Warren Co., TN. I am specifically looking for the name of Wright HILL's first wife and the circumstances of her death, as family tradition holds that Wright killed her. She may also have been full or part Cherokee Indian. Later he married a second wife, Frances CHRISTIAN and moved to MO around the 1820's, where he and Frances had many more children. Thank you for any bit of information you might have on Wright and this unknown first wife.

TITTLE
Peter TITTLE was born in Warren Co in 1799. His father was either David or Adam TITTLE. Peter married Edy, last name unknown, in Warren Co before 1825. Three of the TITTLE children were born there before the family moved to AL, later to MS. I need to know the parents of Peter TITTLE, maiden name of Edy and marriage date of Peter and Edy TITTLE. Any help with this family will be appreciated. I will gladly exchange TITTLE information.

FRIZZELL, SMITH, HENNESSEE
Searching for information on the Nathan FRIZZELL, Austin FRIZZELL, and Sally SMITH FRIZZELL families. Austin was Nathan's son and Sally's husband. Austin was supposedly born in the Viola area in about 1850. Sally's father was a SMITH and her mother was a HENNESSEE. After his residence in Warren County, Austin was a resident of the Eastland/Clifty areas of White County ( working in the mines) and in the Dunlap/Whitwell/Cartwright areas. He eventually moved to Herrin, Illinois, living until 1934. Any information on these lines would be much appreciated. Thanks!
