Searching for info on Pleasant H. WINTON, born in Coffee County, TN, on August 13, 1841. He was a merchant and farmer in the Viola area and was included in Goodspeed's History of Warren County. He was married to Lillian Ramsey, who died 9/17/81 and is buried in Liberty Cemetery. No further record has been found of WINTON.

STANLEY
Seeking to make contact with any descendants of Anthony Stanley, a Civil War Yankee soldier, from Tennessee, and his brother, Robert M. Stanley a Civil War Rebel soldier, also from Tennessee. Anthony married Telitha Kelly and Robert md. Christianna Cox. Anthony served in Co. K, 5th Tenn US Cavalry, and Robert served in Co. E, (Smith's) 8th Confederate Cavalry. Anthony and Robert were both sons of John Alexander Stanley Sr., and Evalina Higgins. Anthony & Robert are my wife's 1st Cousins, 3 times removed. Some of Robert's descendants settled in Warren County, while some of Anthony's settled in DeKalb Co. A third brother, Alex Stanley, also of Company K, 5th US Tenn Cav, was ambushed & killed by Confederate bushwackers on Feb 22, 1864 on the Calfkiller River. Does anybody out there know where Alex or Anthony are buried? Thanks for your help!

I am searching for info on the EDDINGS family who married into the MIDDLETON family in Warren Co, Tenn around 1824. A Nancy Elizabeth EDDINGS -Father JOHN EDDINGS of Warren Co/Cannon Co. - married a William MIDDLETON in 1824 in Warren Co. Their daughter who was born in 1829 was named Annis WOLF MIDDLETON. She is named for Annis WOLFFAULKNER. I feel that it is the EDDINGS that the WOLF family is related to. I think the EDDINGS family is related to a family who resided on the North Fork of the Holston River in Washington/Scott Cty, Va in 1804. And through this family the EDDINGS and WOLFs are related. I cannot find info on John EDDINGS before Warren Co. but I think he is related to people in Cannon Cty, Tenn. Who is William Eddings who receives a pension from the Revolutionary War in 1832. Is he John's Father?

RAINS
I am trying to identify the parents of Emory Rains, b. 5/2/1800 in Warren Co., TN, d. 3/3/1878 in Rains Co., TX. Emory moved to Texas in 1817 and married Marana Anderson in 1822. His mother's name is suppose to have been "Katie", possibly DUNCAN, however, his father's name has not been clearly listed in any records. Other siblings attributed to this family are: Sexton Rains, Joab Rains, Preston or Presley Rains, Nellie Rains Yarbrough, Raleigh Rains who married Jane Yarbrough in TN, John Rains and James Spencer Rains who married Margaret Cravens. I do know that James Spencer Rains was definately a brother of Emory's and that James Spencer Rains died in Texas. Any additional family information would be greatly appreciated.

KENNEDY
While going through some old photos, I noticed written on the back of one photo was Great Grandpa and Grandma KENNEDY. (To see the photos, please visit this site: Who Are These Kennedys? I need help identifying these photos. All I know is that my grandfather, William (Will P. or Willie) KENNEDY married Mary Jane Ida Arvilla SWAN in Warren Co, TN in Feb 1904. My dad, George KENNEDY, was born in Aug 1909 (?) in Warren Co, TN. The 1910 Census for Warren Co had Will P. and Ida Kennedy listed. Ida and William divorced and Ida moved with the children to Rutherford Co., TN. That was the last we heard of Will P. Kennedy. In my Dad's obituatry in Dec 1961, it referenced the "late" Will Kennedy as his father. Any help would be appreciated.
