Southern Claims Commission, 1871 to 1873

This list is of Warren County people who filed claims with the Southern Claims Commission from 1871 to 1873 claiming they had property taken by US military for their use in the War Between the States. The files included details about people and wartime. Each person had to tell about his losses in detail and give proof as to their loyalty to the US. They had witnesses who gave testimony to support their claim.
