Bess<\/strong>, 93, died Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in River Park Hospital. The Route 6 resident was a retired blacksmith, a farmer, and a member of the Church of Christ. <strong>Mr. Bess<\/strong> was a son of <strong>Allison and Josie Boyd Bess<\/strong>. Surviving is the widow, <strong>Mrs. Hallie Panter Bess<\/strong>, and a son <strong>Eugene Bess<\/strong> both of Rt. 6, McMinnville. Also surviving are two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral services is scheduled Wednesday in High&#8217;s Chapel with <strong>Ken Dodd<\/strong> and <strong>Ray Holder<\/strong> to officiate.
