Kentucky Rites For Mr. Baker<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Funeral services for W.A. Baker<\/strong>, former resident of Viola Community, were conducted Thursday afternoon at Gamaliel, Ky., Church of Christ. W.D. McPherson<\/strong>, Church of Christ minister of Atlanta, Ga., officiated and burial was in the cemetery there. Mr. Baker<\/strong>, father of Mrs. Mayhew Peery<\/strong>, died at the home of another daughter, Mrs. McPherson,<\/strong> in Atlanta, Ga., Tuesday. He had been ill six months. Mr. Baker made his home with Mrs. Peery<\/strong> near Viola until he moved to Atlanta several months ago to spend the winter with his daughter there. He was a son of Calvin Baker<\/strong> and Anna Davis Baker<\/strong> and was born December 23, 1869 at Hermitage Springs Tenn. \u00a0He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cornela Baker<\/strong>, Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, and two sons, D.M. Baker<\/strong>, Mobil, Ala., and H. L. Baker<\/strong>, Washington, D.C. Also four grandchildren. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n
