Retired Farmer Dies In White<\/b><\/p>\n
William Edward Austin<\/strong>, retired Hickory Valley farmer, died at his home Friday evening at 10:05 o\u2019clock, following three days\u2019 illness. He was 89. \u00a0Services were held at Bethlehem church in White county. Billy Norris<\/strong>, minister of the Sparta Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of White county, Mr. Austin<\/strong> was born June 10, 1862. \u00a0He was a son of Edward Austin and Mary Lou Frazier Austin<\/strong>. He was married to Miss Carrie Haston<\/strong>, who survives. Mr. Austin was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors, besides his wife, are four sons, William Austin, Doyle, Charles Austin<\/strong>, Hickory Valley, Van Austin,<\/strong> Detroit, Mich., and Carrol Austin,<\/strong> Sparta.
